E.I.S. AIRCRAFT TAKES HANNOVER FINANZ ON BOARD

Press Release

HANNOVER Finanz and E.I.S. Aircraft Products and Services GmbH announce:

E.I.S. Aircraft takes HANNOVER Finanz on board

Hanover, 19. 12. 2019 – The equity capital partner HANNOVER Finanz Group has acquired a majority shareholding in the supplier for the aviation industry and takes over all shares held by the previous majority shareholder EQT. In the course of the transaction, E.I.S. Aircraft Products and Services GmbH, based in Euskirchen, is reorganizing its shareholder structure. The management is also taking a stake in the long-established company, which was founded in 1953, as part of a management buyout. The transaction has been completed by the end of 2019. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

E.I.S. Aircraft is an established developer and manufacturer of custom components and services for civil aviation. Its customers include the “Who’s Who” of the international aviation industry. More than 280 employees at three locations offer services individually tailored to the wishes and requirements of customers and meet the highest quality standards.

HANNOVER Finanz has acquired all the shares held by the Swedish financial investor EQT, which invested in E.I.S. Aircraft Products and Services in 2015. EQT has created the basis for future growth by professionalizing the management team, expanding the product range and increasing the customer base.

HANNOVER Finanz now sees opportunities for further internationalization of the company. In addition to its headquarters in Euskirchen, the supplier to the aviation industry has so far been represented exclusively by other branches in Lemgo and Munich.

Frank Löffler, the partner at HANNOVER Finanz responsible for the company, comments as follows: “We have many years of experience in acquiring companies from an initial investor. Together with the management, we will further develop the company and sound out where internationalization is worthwhile.”

Sven Achilles, the CEO of E.I.S. Aircraft, who has more than 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, comments on the transaction: “When EQT sold the shares, it was important to us and our previous owner that our new majority shareholder should be a financial investor who shares our vision and can accompany the development of the company in the long term. We are delighted to have gained HANNOVER Finanz Group as an entrepreneurial partner with over 40 years of experience in the long-term support of medium-sized companies.”

HANNOVER Finanz’s deal team worked with the following advisors during the transaction: Deloitte GmbH (Financial and Tax Due Diligence), Roland Berger GmbH (Commercial Due Diligence), Deloitte Legal GmbH (Legal Due Diligence), and Yellow Birds Consulting GmbH & Co. KG (Operational & Organizational Due Diligence).

In this transaction, the deal team of HANNOVER Finanz GmbH included Goetz Hertz-Eichenrode, CEO, Frank Löffler and Markus Mönkhoff, both Partners, Dr. Christina Silberberger, Partner and General Counsel, Rüdiger Pohl, Investment Manager, and Katja Kreutzer, Investment Analyst.
